My Martial Arts journey began in 2011. I had moved from Salisbury to the DC metro area after graduating college to pursue a career path. I was always active and competitive in sports having played my whole life and needed something to fill that void. The mental and physical aspect of football always appealed to me and was my favorite and most successful sport to participate in before I found martial arts, mainly Jiu Jitsu. I walked through the doors of my alma mater academy of Evolve Academy in Gaithersburg Maryland and have never looked back since. Training Martial Arts instantly filled the void football had left for me. I was lucky enough to learn from some of the top names in the surrounding area in Martial Arts. It quickly became a second family to me that I still see and train with regularly. In 2014 I moved back to Salisbury and continued my Jiu Jitsu journey. I met what would eventually become the founders of 410 Academy of Martial Arts. I am fortunate enough to continue to train and develop my own craft with them. They each have become an integral part of my development in martial arts. Martial Arts and Jiu Jitsu are more than training to me. It’s about the relationships and lessons you learn on the mats. Everyday at 410 Academy we push each other to be a little better than we were before walking in those doors that day. Be it physically or mentally. When I moved from Evolve Academy, finding a family like that seemed like an impossible task. I’m proud to say that I found that at 410 Academy of Martial Arts. My goal as an instructor is to help everyone succeed and feel welcomed. I hope that I can help shape your martial arts journey like my training partners and mentors have done for me.
